Exploring Collective Impact in Vermont

We are a planning committee of community leaders who first worked together to host the Vermont Collective Impact Conference on October 20, 2015: United Way of Northwest Vermont, the Vermont  Community Foundation, the University of Vermont Medical Center and the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission.

Together we work to promote the understanding and use of Collective Impact approaches across all sector and communities. We're also working together to develop opportunities and a framework for Vermont funders to create greater impact through collaborative investment toward common priorities. We – and other key partners – explore ways to grow the understanding and use of Collective Impact strategies and engage other funders across Vermont to develop more collaborative approaches.

United Way of Northwest Vermont

Proudly serving Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties, United Way of Northwest Vermont convenes advocates, organizations and institutions to address the community's most pressing issues, focusing on the building blocks of a vibrant community: Education, Income and Health. The problems facing our community are complex; they are issues that no single organization or individual alone can solve – real change is possible when nonprofit, public and private sectors work together. United Way has the networks, partnerships and strategic initiatives to improve the lives of our family, friends and neighbors. For more information or to get involved, visit unitedwaynwvt.org.

It also provides leadership in giving by responding to community needs, mobilizing and connecting philanthropists to multiply their impact, and by keeping Vermont’s nonprofit sector vital with grants and other investments in the community.
